Horseshoe Hill
Another Award-Winning Design – Chilterns Building Design Award for “a superb, perfectly executed building which takes full account of its setting in the landscape”.
Neo-Georgian home, a welcoming front entrance on a domestic scale to the north, and a grand facade on the rear elevation. One of the key features was to form a series of semi-agricultural courtyards on the northern side to provide a rural and characterful sense of arrival. Around these courtyards, various outbuildings were located with ‘lesser’ portions of the main house.
The house is finished using a bucks multi brick, with Portland Stone for the entrance stonework.
